Ingredients
  

  • 12 Dried plums (2/3 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons Hot water =
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 ¼ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Use silicone baking mats or parchment paper to line baking sheets.
  • Take a large mixing bowl. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in that bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time until thoroughly mixed. Add the vanilla extract and stir.
  • Take a separate mixing bowl. Mix the salt, flour, and baking soda in that. 
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet components, stirring until just blended. Take care not to overmix.
  • Add the chocolate chips and fold until they are uniformly incorporated into the mixture.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to place rounded scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges start to turn a light golden brown, in a preheated oven.
  • After a few minutes, let the cookies cool on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to finish cooling.
