- 2 cloves Fresh Garlic
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons mirin or dry sherry
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (a thickening agent)
- 1/4 cup cold water (for cornstarch)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Take the fresh garlic and ginger. Peel and finely mince them.
Take a medium sized pot. Put the honey, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, mirin, and one cup of water in a medium-sized pot. Stir and bring to a simmer.
Stir the cornstarch into a quarter cup of cold water and gradually add it to the sauce while stirring continuously.
The cornstarch will start to thicken the sauce. Simmer until it reaches the consistency you desire, about five more minutes. Add extra water to make the sauce thinner if preferred.
Now taste your sauce and adjust the ingredients according to your taste.
Season your sauce with salt and pepper.
Allow the sauce to cool before serving it.
A delicious Flame Broiler Magic sauce is ready. Try it with your favorite meal for some extra texture.
