- 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
- 1/4 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/4 tablespoon Baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon Cream of tartar
- 1/4 tablespoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 Egg, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons Vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Almond extract
- Melted white chocolate, for dipping
- Sprinkles, optional
Take a small-sized icing bowl. Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt in that bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined.
Beat the butter and sugar in a large mixing basin or the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment for three to four minutes, on medium speed. Now add the egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Make sure to thoroughly mix everything.
Add the dry ingredients and mix on low until well blended. If the dough is very sticky, add one or two more tablespoons of flour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Now Line baking sheets with parchment paper and put them aside.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll out to about 1/2" thickness. Cut into your desired shapes. After transferring to the baking pans that have been prepared, let the cookies cool for half an hour.
Now bake the chilled cookies for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly golden brown. The cookies will remain soft. Let the cookies cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack.
The delicious Panera Shortbread Cookies are ready. You can dip the cookies in melted chocolate and sprinkles if desired.
