Ingredients

  • Water = 6 cups
  • Kirby cucumbers = 5
  • Coriander seeds = ½ tsp
  • Sea salt = ¼ cup
  • Fresh dill = some pieces
  • Minced garlic = 6 cloves
  • Black peppercorns = ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds = ½ tsp
  • Bay leaves = 3
  • Red pepper flakes = for spice according to your liking

Instructions

  • Wash the cucumbers and pat them dry with paper towels. Then cut them to the slices of thickness you wish.
  • Take a pot and add water to it. Then add sea salt and heat on a medium flame to dissolve it in the water. Then crush and chop the garlic cloves roughly.
  • Take the pot away from the heat. Add sliced cucumbers, crushed garlic, and red pepper flakes to the saltwater mixture.
  • Add the bay leaves, coriander, peppercorns, and mustard in a bag and use a pestle and mortar to grind them. With the help of a rolling pin, mash them.
  • Take 6 pickle jars and add equal portions of spice mixture into all of them. Then add cucumber slices and garlic also in equal portions in all jars. Finally, pour the salt water into all the jars so that the cucumbers are immersed completely in it.
  • Place the jars in the refrigerator for 1-2 days to incorporate the flavors of seasonings in the pickles and create a rich and blended flavor. Ted’s Montana Grill Pickles are ready. Enjoy them as you want!
