Ingredients

You will need the following easy-to-have ingredients for this recipe:

  • Chicken tenders = 1 pound (about 8 tenders)
  • Paprika = 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder = 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder = 1 teaspoon
  • Gluten free all-purpose flour = ⅓ cup
  • Salt = 2 teaspoons
  • Eggs = 2
  • Gluten free breadcrumbs = 1 ¼ cups
  • Old bay seasoning = 2 teaspoons

Instructions to make Gluten Free Chicken Tenders

Get ready to prepare the tenders and follow the given instructions:

Step 1

To preheat the air fryer, set the temperature at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Pound the chicken breasts, removing their chunky particles and cutting them into strips.

Step 3

Pour flour, paprika, onion powder, garlic, and salt into a bowl to whisk them together.

Step 4

Beat the eggs in another bowl. Add old bay seasonings and breadcrumbs to another bowl.

Step 5

Toss to coat the chicken tenders after adding them to the bowl with the flour.

Step 6

Press the breadcrumbs onto each piece after dipping each item in the eggs and then the breadcrumbs. You can do it again for a heavier covering.

Step 7

With this, put the chicken ready in the air fryer basket and give it some light oil spray.

Step 8

Cook in an air fryer for 12 to 16 minutes, turning about halfway, until the centers are done and the exteriors are golden and crispy.

Step 9

Serve with ketchup and enjoy after allowing it to cool slightly.

Recipe Variations

You can replace a few ingredients in the recipe if you want.

Almond flour

If you are looking for a low-carb option, use bread crumbs and almond flour in equal quantity.

Corn flakes

Great crunch and a slightly sweet flavor could be added to the chicken tenders by coating them with crushed gluten-free cornflakes instead of bread crumbs.

Cornflour

Mix non-dairy milk with a spoonful of gluten-free flour or cornstarch to achieve an almost similar binding effect to get an egg-free coating.

Seasonings

Add your favorite seasonings, like Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, or black peppers, to enhance taste.

Recipe Tips

Here are some tips for the best gluten-free chicken tenders:

  • Serve the chicken tender with ketchup, barbecue sauce, or any other sauce of your choice with French fries to look classy.
  • These tenders taste great with Caesar salad. Even you can add them to any salad you prefer.
  • After coating the chicken tenders, leave them for a few minutes. They will absorb the flavor, and the coating will not shed while frying.
  • Be conscious about adjusting the temperature. High temperatures can burn the tender’s crust while leaving the chicken uncooked inside the tenders. Likewise, the chicken tenders absorb more oil at very low temperatures.
